Samsung has commenced pre-orders for the LTE-A variant of the Galaxy Tab S, dubbed the Galaxy Tab S Broadband LTE-A, in South Korea. Claimed to be the first tablet in the world to offer download speeds of up to 225Mbps, the Galaxy Tab S Broadband is set to retail for 824,000 Won ($767.95).
The screen size and resolution are the same as that of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, while the SoC sees an upgrade to the Exynos 5433 Octa, which is the same processor that powers the international variant of the Galaxy Note 4. Other specs remain the same, which include 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, 8 MP camera at the back, 2.1 MP front shooter and a 7,900 mAh battery.
Also included is Wi-Fi ac connectivity with MIMO, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS with GLONASS and Beidou, along with microUSB 2.0 and a fingerprint sensor. The tablet is available in white and bronze color variants.
