Android Central

We've previously heard that GTA Vice City 10th Anniversary edition would be heading to our Android devices, but until now we didn't know when. The wait is almost at an end, with today's announcement from Rockstar Games that we can expect Vice City to drop on December 6. Following on from last years release of GTA III Anniversary edition, Vice City of course takes us back to the 1980's as Tommy Vercetti.

The price of GTA Vice City is to be a reasonable $5, less than the price GTA III made at launch, although like its predecessor there is a potential compatibility issue. Rockstar has kindly listed the devices that will be compatible at launch, though thankfully this time round, it isn't quite so depressing. Many of the latest devices are to be supported immediately, including the new Nexus 4 and Nexus 10:

The full supported list reads as:

Android Phones: Motorola Razr, Razr Maxx, Razr Maxx HD, Motorola Atrix, Motorola Photon, Motorola Droid Bionic, HTC Rezound, HTC One X, HTC One S, HTC Evo 3D, HTC Sensation, HTC Droid Incredible 2, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy Note 1 & 2, Samsung S2, Samsung Galaxy R, Sony Xperia Play, Sony Xperia S, P, T & TL, Sony Walkman Z Series Media Player, Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S3, Google Nexus 4

Android Tablets: Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, LG Optimus Pad, Medion Lifetab, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 / 10.1, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Sony Tablet S, Sony Tablet P, Toshiba Thrive, HTC Flyer, Google Nexus 7, Google Nexus 10

So, a pretty comprehensive list this time around from Rockstar. Vice City will feature enhanced graphics and gameplay options, and will be available through the Google Play Store.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to launch on Android on December 6

GTA Vice City for Android? Dont you mean "GTA Vice City for.....idk it depends on what kind of Android phone you have". This is what I HATE about Android. Want to play the game but, wait my phone isn't "compatible"

Goddamint developers - stop leaving the EVO LTE off the list - it's arguably the same hardware but better than the One X and it gets left out in the cold more often than not with the stupid omission by developers to include it in their lists. Gameloft for example took almost two months to update the supported list for Let's Golf 3 and Nova 3 - despite them working just fine and dandy on the same device without a micro-sd card slot on a different carrier

Couldn't agree with you more. I have the white Evo 4G LTE and it is a beast of a phone but like you said not supported by developers like it's first cousin the One X. It is actually a little disappointing.

I Know it's ridiculous, I'm positive if it works on the one x evo 3d and sensation it'll work just fine on the LTEVO I find it insane that they haven't noticed it yet we need to contact someone about this because i want this game on my phone as well as my tablet.

Man i rocked and mod the hell out of this game!!. This is going to be awesome rocking this game on my GS3 using my bluetooth controller can't wait!!

So the Nexus 4 is compatible, but the LG Optimus G isn't? Aren't they more or less the same phone (aside from LTE, storage capacity & Android version)?
