Ok. I'm a die hard android nerd, but that was funny. Like Phil said, It's popular enough to make the late show. We have to start finding the humor in these things. Again, I LOVE ANDROID but every device from my EVO 3d to my nexus to my galaxy tab 10.1 all have their weird little bugs to work out. At the end if the day I wouldn't trade them for anything. I'm surly not going to have Apple tell me what I can and can't do with my devices. You've gotta love open source. Long live android!!!

This smug "Apple" attitude is really starting to get on my nerves. As others have stated the Fire is a reader, viewer that is about 1/3 the price of an iPad as we all know. It has hit the perfect price point for this season and the functionality is again, perfect for the price and size. It is not an iPad replacement as it does not include an attitude with the price, just enjoyment of what most people actually use a tablet for.
Kindle Fire, lots of fun, great price ....

You guys aren't huge Conan fans, so you probably aren't aware his whole staff, including he and Andy, are huge, huge Apple fanboys. I regularly see he and Andy in the Team Coco behind the scenes things playing with their iPhones and iPads right on set.

Preaching to the choir here, I know, but it makes me laugh every time someone compares the Fire with an iPad. Are people really that simple-minded to understand that just because the two products are flat and have a touchscreen, that doesn't imply that they are the same product? It's like saying a bicycle and a car are the same thing because they both have wheels and can steer.
If you want a reader, buy a reader. If you want a tablet, buy a tablet. But don't be so surprised when the reader is inferior at being a tablet and the tablet is inferior at being a reader. Did you expect to drive your car down a mountain-bike trail, too?

Okay, this video is just flat out stupid. They are making very stupid claims about the Kindle Fire and how Amazon made humongous bugs (True, we can't take most of them seriously). But really, comparing an iPad to an E-reader? Stupid. They aren't even meant for the same thing, nor are they meant for the same crowd. Just because they are at similar size and internal specs (SoC), doesn't mean they should be in anyway treated as same. The Kindle Fire has a screen good for reading, is based on the Android OS, costs much less than the iPad and such. And it's bound to have bugs. The iPad has ones too.
