AT&T Moto X

Camera fixes galore and tweaks to Touchless Control exit testing

A mere 10 days after SOAK test invites rolled out to some AT&T Moto X users for an impending update, AT&T has confirmed that it will be rolling out to all users starting today. The primary focus of this update, which has already started rolling out to T-Mobile and Sprint variants, is fixes for the subpar camera performance users have been experiencing on the Moto X.

AT&T has basically the same exact list of changes that we saw Motorola post for the T-Mobile variant, including better auto-white balance performance, color accuracy, exposure and touch-to-focus time. Beyond just the camera, other fixes related to Touchless Control responsiveness and Motorola Migrate are also included.

Seeing the update on your own AT&T Moto X yet? Now may be the time to check it out.

Why am I always at the bottom of these rolls? Haha doesn't matter if its a Google app update, nexus and now moto.

Same. I'm really hoping the fact that I'm using this AT&T Moto X on the T-Mobile network won't somehow hinder the update. Choppy audio during calls is really growing irksome.

Jerry got his last week I think it was, and he had the latest update already. Check the date they compiled the kernel. Should be Aug 28 if you have the update, and July 20th I believe for the original build.

Just curious but those receiving updates what state are you in? I wonder if it is rolled out regionally.

It isn't regional. For some reason, people suspect that with every new update.

Posted from my pure Google Nexus 4 using the AC app.

They said it's going out to "all users today " probably east to west coast release. Who knows. All I know Is my thumb is tired.

I don't have the update and my Att variant doesn't have that issue. Hopefully the update fixes it for those that do.

I hope when this finally rolls out on Verizon they also have this line from the Sprint update notes:

"Calling – Improved Voice Quality: Fixed an issue that could sometimes result in choppy audio being heard by the person you’re talking with on your Moto X"

Almost every time I'm on the phone with someone they tell me I'm breaking up or cracking up and ask me to repeat myself. I find it interesting this isn't in the AT&T or T-Mobile update notes, wondering if the issue only affects the CDMA variants and not the GSM models.

Sacramento California, got the update. Very pleased to see it come out so quickly despite this being a carrier phone.

The update doesn't seem to even be on Rogers radar based on their update schedule forum post. If I even get the update it will probably be 6 months from now.

I got this thing a day ago and haven't even had a chance to activate the sim, but yet I received this update tonight

Keep in mind the DROID Max is a Verizon phone and they are always slower with updates because of the way they test them out for their network.

A moto having a bad camera...who would have thunk it...which is why after getting suckered into the Bionic...I will never own another moto!

I have used the HTC one as my daily driver for the past three months. Decided to try out a moto x. Amazing device. Nothing wrong with the camera after the latest update. Also the moto x IMO offers one of the best android experiences around. Touch less control and active notifications are awesome.
