TF300

A minor OTA update for the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 that started pushing Friday is now going out in full force. The update brings the software to version 9.4.3.29, and also bumps the Wifi version and Camera version up slightly. The device stays on Android 4.0.3, at least for the time being. The official word is that this brings stability improvements, which nobody here is going to complain about. Per ASUS the update is not available on the TF300 firmware page yet, and most users will have to manually check for the update from the tablet settings. As fate would have it, we're not yet seeing the update here, but if you are be sure to jump into the forums and compare notes.

I want a GSM International "PadPhone". (Pentaband of course)

Why, you ask?

Updates. Plain and simple.

What's the next best thing to a Nexus device? A device from ASUS.

Meh, they've put out the fastest updates for sure, and their tablets are pretty bloatware free, but they screwed up the ICS update for the original TF pretty royally. I'm still a big ASUS fan, but they seriously need to figure out the stability issues with ICS on the TF, other manufacturer have now put out perfectly stable ICS updates two or three months later while ASUS has pushed three flawed updates.

Have to say just got this tablet this weekend and it is great super fast and great display. No issues so far....I was prompted to update soon after first connecting to wifi

The update also includes Face Unlock support. Unfortunately for me, my TF300 has a bad touchscreen that goes crazy if I squeeze the edge of it even slightly, so I can't play with it until I get a new one. I hope everyone else can enjoy the update.

I've had my TF300 since the day it was released. It's had several updates and has worked exceptionally well both before and after said updates. I've used it quite a bit and have found the battery life to be very good. It has a great display, operates smoothly and is fast. Unfortunately, I don't know what has changed with the updates other than what has already been mentioned above.

It's a really pretty android tablet with the high performance and relative lower price. With the camera tablet, I've used it take a pile of photos, HD quality I get. And the TF300 is a good enough portable video player for me. I've used my video converter from Brorsoft to convert some movies to it, the video playback is flawless.
