One of the first things to check out in any new version of Android — even (and especially) a developer preview is the easter egg. And new in Android M is ...
Yeah. That guy.
Gotta love it.
What is it lol

What does it mean? "I don't know" ? "whatever" ?
It's a guy shrugging. You know, the universal sign of "I don't get it", "I don't know", etc....
Oh ok, so my first guess was correct.
But he's also smiling, so it's funny... :)
Better than flappy bird.
Wubba lubba dub dub!
It's a guy tilting his head smiling with raised arms.

Nexus 5 GoPhone
This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. What's even more stupid is people aren't smart enough to know this doesn't even work.
Posted via Android Central App
I know, I text it to people and it does nothing...
Does it have to be ios to ios?
No. It doesn't work at all. This just shows that people can put out any BS they want and people won't even do five minutes of research to figure out if this is erroneous info.
It did work for me lol.
Just because it doesn't work on some including yourself doesn't mean it doesn't work automatically.

No, it actually works. Just because you can't replicate it because you're not sure how "it functions" doesn't mean that it's BS (just means that you don't know how it works). It'll work on any banner notification (a webpage does not cause any fault). Different rendering engine altogether. Anything from notification (WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, SMS, iMessage, etc). If you're on a jailbroken iOS device, you'll be pushed into safe mode. Since safe mode isn't enabled for non-jailbroken device..... iOS crashes (reboots).
Very well stated.
Funny because it restarted the girls iPhone here at work... But it doesn't work lol ok Mr. Know it all
@mlemos89 did it really require name calling?
Name calling? Lol, grow a pair...
It kinda does, considering you basically called people stupid for the bug working for them.

I didn't call anyone out in specific. I could see if someone were upset for me calling them stupid directly. If you look back at what I said, you'd see I didn't call anyone stupid. Sure, I was misinformed, but never called anyone stupid or degraded their intelligence. Now if I were to call someone directly stupid--like I said--then I could see one being upset with me.
lol you're the guy that started with "people aren't smart enough..."
don't dish it if you're too sensitive to take it. also, it DOES work. do some research before posting. you have to send it properly, and if the member has banner notifications on.
you'd know that if you were smart enough...
Oh the irony of you not doing 5 minutes of research then putting out erroneous info...
Thanks for the insults. I didn't call anyone stupid in specific, go back and read the post. And I'll admit, I was wrong. We're all wrong at some time in our life. I'm not sensitive at all. If I were I wouldn't do what I do for a career. Possibly 90% of people won't do what I do, and what I do calls for a hard will and keeping your head on right. You call me for being sensitive, I call it being honest. In case you wanted to know I'm in the Army as a career, if anyone wanted to know. I do info tech specialist.
It happens. Dalton was a little... aggressive with his original comment, but let's not devolve into petty bickering.
That said, he may not be totally wrong, since Apple has been saying since yesterday that they are pushing out a patch to fix this. I don't know if it's something that they can fix server side (like restricting these SMS messages from being sent) but they may have already started rolling out a fix.
No, the person receiving it has to have iOS and banner alerts on.
And that looks like gibberish to me. Must require some weird font to be installed, or a specific text encoding.
Us android users are immune to this. Why? Because we have effective. Power
Bloody hell I just got Lollipop!! (Verizon M7, I know, my own fault but M8/9 ain't doing it for me)
This is just the Dev Preview. It won't be stable for months(and maybe not even on release), and won't hit devices for even longer. It will also change a lot from what it is now. Basically all this is right now is the new core changes and developer APIs. Nothing much user facing yet, except for random things like changes to the App Drawer. If you currently have a stable and functioning OS, then be glad and hope it stays that way. If not, beg your Carrier/Manufacturer, Unlock and Flash something else yourself, or buy a new phone(maybe on a different carrier, or unlocked).
O well. You are stuck on Lollipop. 5.0.2 to be specific since its not receiving 5.1 last time I heard from HTC. But if it's still working then that's awesome. At least be thankful you go Lollipop
haha that's also my whatsapp status.. :D ¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯
m&m guy lol
I second that for the new name!
I was thinking the same thing.
that's exactly what I thought ... does the same company (mars maybe?) that makes M&M's make Kit Kat's?
Kit Kat = Nestle
M&M = Mars
Reese's = Hershey --because this made me think of the ET movie thing :)
Lol new update some maybe most will never get...Kanye shrugs!
Looking at your profile, you spend enough time on this site to know better than to think this is true.
Lol aw. Hopefully they at least add a Easter egg. I actually really enjoy my Android Lollipop Flappy Bird Easter egg
You should upgrade your Lollipop Easter Egg using this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummyapps.lollipoplan...
Adds achievements, leaderboards, skins for your "bird", and more difficulty levels. It will even tie into the Easter Egg screen on LP.
Cool, never knew about that. Thanks for the link
lol. It's pretty awesome that somebody made this. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for vouching for me back there. I go to MEPS this Thursday to sign the rest of my papers and off to Fort Benning, Georgia. Job:25U1. Ship date: August 14, 2015.
I will miss flappy droid!!
@Bwahahahaha I do have a pair, but there are limitations to things that you do. There's a thing called maturity that you use when calling someone out. If you're an adult, handle it like one. I could've just as easily called her a “know it all" if she weren't informed on a situation, whatsoever. Now, if she would've called me out by saying, “Hey, it worked on this girl's iPhone at work", then I would say “ah, didn't know that", and then I'd inform myself. We're on the Internet, the world can see what we're saying. I would rather handle myself like an adult than call people names on the Internet.
I dunno, lol
You are about to get a ton of bugs until the next update. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I literally lol'd at this comment. Made my day.
