Understanding Application settings on the Samsung Galaxy S7

Application settings is your pit stop for the settings for nine of the built-in Samsung apps that come with every Galaxy S7, you can control settings from one spot, instead of having to open each app individually.

If you tap on an app, you'll be brought into its settings, just like if you were to go into the app from your Home screen or from the app drawer.

You can control settings for the following built-in apps:

  • Camera
  • Contacts
  • Email
  • Internet
  • Messages
  • Phone
  • S Planner
  • S Voice App
  • Weather

Other Samsung apps, like S Health, Gear, and Clock will have to be launched on their own to get at their settings. Likewise, downloaded apps and built-in Google apps will also have to be individually launched.

How to access Application settings on the Samsung Galaxy S7

  1. Launch the Settings app from your Home screen or from the app drawer.
  2. Tap Applications.
  3. Tap an app under "Application settings" to view and control its settings.

Launch Settings, tap Applications, tap an app to view its settings

Any settings you change here can also be changed from within the app itself.
