Build a home media server with the Seagate IronWolf 4TB hard drive on sale for $100

The Seagate IronWolf 4TB NAS 7200 rpm internal hard drive is down to $99.99 on Amazon. We have never seen this drive drop below $100 before. It usually sells for around $120 to $125, and recent deals only saw it go as low as $110. The same drive sells for more than $120 at other retailers like Newegg.

The IronWolf brand was specifically designed to work with network-attached storage devices. We've seen quite a few go on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. If you've been thinking about setting up your own home media server or cloud storage, then this is the time to do it. If you don't have a network-attached storage device to start your media server with, grab something like the Synology DS218j that's really easy to set up and use.

The IronWolf comes with Seagate's AgileArray software, which is designed to reduce errors in the drive due to vibrations and improve performance. Since NAS devices expect a 24/7 always-on approach, you can expect this hard drive won't degrade over time even with a heavy workload. It comes with a three-year warranty and can handle up to 180 TB a year.
