This low price is part of a one-day sale at Amazon featuring plenty of PC components and accessories also down to low prices. You'll find a lot more than SSDs in that sale, including monitors and full-blown computers. The WD Black 500GB is also part of the sale today. It's down to its lowest price ever and $20 off what it regularly sells for.

I have regular hard drives and regular solid state drives, but earlier this year I upgraded to an NVMe M.2 drive and haven't looked back. The install times are amazing, and honestly it might be worth it just to watch that 60GB game get written to your drive as fast as it possibly can. These drives are a luxury for sure, but I'd say go for it if you can. Especially with the deals available right now.

The WD Black has transfer speeds up to 3470 MB/s, which means improved load times on everything you write to it. Compare that to a SATA SSD like the popular WD Blue which only has load times up to 560 Mb/s. It's so fast. Customize your gaming PC and maintain peak performance with the sleek heatsink design.

Unlike SATA drives, the M.2 drive installs directly onto your motherboard, so you'll want to make sure you have a motherboard that supports an M.2 2280 drive. WD also has exclusive software, the WD Black SSD Dashboard, you can use to customize your experience and maintain your drive.
