A tweet by Nokia Anew claims HMD Global is currently testing an under-display front camera on the Nokia 9.2 PureView. While Nokia Anew has a decent track record when it comes to Nokia leaks, we still need to take this new rumor with a few grains of salt.
Manufacturers such as Xiaomi and OPPO have shown off prototype devices featuring under-display selfie cameras, but neither of them has confirmed any plans of launching a phone with the technology in the near future. In fact, OPPO Vice President Brian Shen had said earlier this month that the company's upcoming Find X2 will not feature an under-display camera, as the technology isn't ready for mass-production yet.
If recent rumors are to be believed, the Nokia 9.2 PureView will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset and may not be as expensive as its rivals. The phone is also unlikely to feature a similar fancy camera setup as the Nokia 9 PureView. Instead of using Light camera technology, the phone is tipped to come with Toshiba camera sensors.

I've been saying this for over 4 years: the technology is already out there, stop dragging your feet and bring it. There's so much stuff that's coming, but it is already tested, that the only explanation is: let's give them something every year so that they keep on buying and our stocks keep on growing. Shame on technology companies that behave this way! 😔

This over a folding phone any day! A true full screen display with no pop up cameras or flimsy hinges and creased screens. Will seriously take a look at this phone if this turns out to be true.

Hope that this rumors are true also i suggest that this flagship nokia has more than 4,000mAh battery, radio features and 3.5mm headphone jack. If that's happen i think it's the time that Nokia will regain their popularity since their feature phones wayback.

Well think, the OnePlus just showed a phone that can darken the camera lens on the back to hide it. Why can't that tech be used to cover the front camera and clear the screen in that area to allow the camera to see through? I'm sure there is some what to do it. That is there glass not the screen itself.

Finally something interesting to look forward to. Of course we have yet see the device, the spec sheet and price point. But HMD Global/Nokia has had a good track record in releasing new devices and I'd say a solid device portofolio covering a wide range of prices from entry level to mid-range and now flagship.
