Galaxy Alpha

Along with Canada, the Galaxy Alpha will be making its way to the UK, where the device is slated to launch September 12, and Germany, with availability set to commence on September 29. While the Canadian version of the device will feature the Snapdragon 801, the Galaxy Alpha in the UK and Germany will run the Exynos 5 Octa 5430.

The unlocked version of the device is available for pre-order for £500 ($805) from Clove and Unlocked Mobiles. Unlocked Mobiles is offering four color variants — Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, and Sleek Silver — while Clove has all five color variants, including the Scuba Blue edition, previously thought to be exclusive to Carphone Warehouse. Expansys is also carrying the SIM-free variant, although it is costlier at £515 ($830). Expansys is stocking all five color variants. The carrier-free version might not be available at the same time, however, as Clove and Unlocked Mobiles state that first stock is due to arrive sometime during the last week of September.

Carphone Warehouse has the device for pre-order, with monthly plans starting at £33. The retailer has Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Scuba Blue and Sleek Silver variants on offer, with an estimated delivery date of September 12. Phones4U has the Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, and Sleek Silver color variants on pre-order, with monthly plans starting at £34.50. Stock is expected to start shipping September 12.

In Germany, HandyAttacke has the Galaxy Alpha on pre-order for €565 ($728), with a shipping date of September 26. If you choose to go with Amazon Germany, the device will run you €600 ($773) and will only be available October 19.
