MWC 2026 is just about a week away now, and we're starting to get confirmations from brands about what to expect in Barcelona.
Smartphone maker Tecno has confirmed that it will showcase its CAMON 50 Series and the POVA 8 Series at the show. Similarly, we're expecting major announcements from Honor.
The company has already teased its Robot phone, which was previously showcased at CES 2026. That device promises the capabilities of a phone combined with an AI companion, featuring a rear camera mounted on a 360-degree gimbal.
Article continues belowNow, however, Honor has teased another big reveal at MWC 2026, and it's not just the Robot smartphone.
Honor has officially unveiled its MWC 2026 theme as "Believers in AI Future," and with that positioning, the company is doubling down on its AI ambitions. Honor says it will become the first global smartphone brand to enter the humanoid robotics space.
Will Honor really be able to deliver on this front? It's been six months since we first saw the robot phone, and we still haven't seen it properly in action. Now Honor is teasing something even bigger. If you're skeptical (like us), that's totally fair.
The company hasn't revealed exactly what to expect from its humanoid robot just yet, but it has shared a teaser video offering a glimpse of its AI-driven future. The video opens inside Honor's "Alpha" lab, where the robot phone appears to glance at the shadow of an incoming humanoid robot.
The robot carries Honor branding, features blue lighting on its head, and what appears to be a camera along with an LED strip running down the center of its chest.

It may not end up being a commercial product right away, and Honor hasn't claimed that it'll be. But it does mark the company's first serious step into humanoid robotics.
Beyond that, Honor has confirmed it will announce its next-generation foldable phone, the Honor Magic V6, along with the MagicPad 4 and MagicBook Pro 14 at MWC 2026.
This isn't the first humanoid robot we've seen, but it's the first from a major smartphone brand. And that in itself is quite interesting. Building robots isn't like building phones. If Honor pulls this off, it deserves real credit
The company has confirmed its keynote will take place on March 1, 2026, at 1 PM CET (7 AM ET) in Barcelona. We'll be on the ground covering everything Honor announces, so stay tuned for all the details.
