Now that we've got the T-Mobile Galaxy S5 price, what's next? Why, the ubiquitous unboxing, of course.

And good news on that front — T-Mobile's Des ('sup, yo!) has done it so we don't have to.

So what's inside the box? We don't want to spoil it, but it's a Galaxy S5. And a charger. And some papers.

For more, check out our hands-on with the Galaxy S5 from Mobile World Congress. You can pre-order the GS5 from T-Mobile starting Monday.

Yes, let's all be generic and boring. That's the kind of person who bothers with unboxing vids haha

I'm glad Samsung beat them to the punch.

Des is awesome! Check out his G+ page for his take on the various devices he has used / is using.

Just looks too much like the s4. Plus, the spec bump from my note 3 too this just isn't worth it. I'll stick with my note 3 running AOSP (slimkat), thank you.

No one was telling you to buy it.

Why do people with Notes' compare to the Galaxy S series? TWO DIFFERENT THINGS ENTIRELY!
Like, if I have a Note 3 why would I even compare the two?

Those are two totally different devices for two totally different purposes. I'm not sure, why anyone would go from the Note 3 to the S5. The Note 2 makes more sense to jump from.

I don't get those kinda comments either. I feel I could say "meh, not enough to get me away from my gaming rig" and it would be as valid a point.

Yep lol.

My gaming rig has a (insert gaming card here), and the S5 only has a dinky Adreno GPU. The S5 sucks! Definitely, not enough for me to upgrade! I'm keeping my (insert random device here), because it's the best EVAR!!

I think Phil should do an unboxing of the S5 and play it next to the T-Mobile video so we can compare methods. :P

Just wondering, is T-Mobile along with the Sprint, Verizon and AT&T, will they be offering the 32 GB version of the S5. I'm only asking since on the video it only showed a 16 GB...Thanks

lafountain says:

T mobile, the 32gb has to be ordered online, stores will only carry the 16. I imagine most of the carriers will be this way sadly.

Did anybody notice that there was no T-mobile branding on the s5 divice? If my eyes weren't playing tricks on me I hope the t-mobile version of the HTC one (m8) doesn't have a T-Mobile logo niether.

Touch the back of a 2012 Nexus 7 and you get the idea. Actually is pretty nice (as long as it is not in that gold color...then it looks like a band-aid.

jayjay234 says:

So funny people think GS5 would feel like the original nexus 7 just bc it looks like it. I went to galaxy studio in SOHO NYC and and saw it in person. It feels NOTHING Like original nexus 7 lol. Well haters are gonna hate.

MERCDROID says:

But, if you don't like how the back feels, you can always get a replacement back cover (a la S-View) or go with any number of aftermarket solutions that will be available.

Posted via my "Gift from God" Note 3, my "Blessed" iPad Mini 2, or my "Risen" Asus ROG"

Habiib says:

My only concern with the aftermarket solutions, is the quality of the gasket used for the water resistant capability. I'd hate to take a chance. But you are correct that there's plenty of choices to customize the look and feel.

These unboxing videos are kind of silly. We all know there's a phone, charger, instruction book, and earbuds in the box.

What would be funny is if the device (any device) wouldn't boot after being unboxed. Awkward...

Yes. That, and it'd be more funny if there was something completely different in the box, like a cat or something.

SebasCvdB says:

Agree with deh2002, I was really expecting a lot more from a flagship device. Yes the Snapdragon 801 has some significant upgrades from the 800 but overall it's pretty much nothing worth bragging over. Heart rate monitor & finger print scanner are still overrated pieces of extras. Also I wish they would have made the minimum internal storage 32GB like with the Note 3.

Yeah, this is barely an upgrade from the S4. Why anyone would leave the S4 for this is beyond me. And that back cover... *Throws up* Haha

Posted via a device much better than yours.

SebasCvdB says:

No headphones on this one?

anekin007 says:

yeah i notice he didn't mention or show any headphones. I hope this isn't something samsung is doing to cut cost. The wife's Note 3 didn't come with one either.

Nice, but I will stick with my NOTE3
