Samsung Galaxy S

We don't suppose the Samsung Galaxy S will be a part of Saturday's "All phones free" promotion at T-Mobile (which is now official, by the way), but it's will on its way to the U.S. carrier, having just made its way through the FCC. Exactly when we'll be able to get our hands on all that Super AMOLED goodness is still anybody's guess, though the Sammy event late this month hopefully will shed a little light on things. We knew it was coming to T-Mobile - can't wait to get my Android fix! Is the "free phones" deal limited to their NYC store?

Don't think so, but the only thing that looks iPhone like is the app drawer. Not sure what the big deal is, Samsung changed it so you can scroll left and right rather than vertically...which IMO feels better. Other than that, you're still enjoying the same home screen customization and widgets.

@ Dennyengster...Yes there is a option in the menu to disable TouchWiz UI but still keep all of the cool widgets Samsung puts on the phone. I believe I saw this in the GSM Arena review.

I have read this phone does not use the 850MHz band for 3G. Unless they change this there is no hope for Canada or AT&T. Simply depending on the 1900MHz band for 3G would not turn out too great.
