Looks like another Android phone is getting blessed with Android 2.1. And that phone would be the Samsung Galaxy I5700 Spica. We've previously heard that the Spica would receive Android 2.0 in February but we guess since 2.1 is the latest rage, that's going to be ignored. The Samsung Galaxy I5700 is a mid-level device with decent specs but isn't even available in the US. It just released on T-Mobile UK so maybe eventually we'll see it here (we doubt it), but we'd much rather have a Galaxy 2 or even a M100S now anyway. Anyone own a Galaxy Spica?

This is a joke. Q2? Does it take to long to implement 2.1 in a device? What about the Galaxy? Bad PR from Samsung. Bad marketing. Q2 would mean May 2010. There'll be another update for Android until then. And the Spica will always be late. This is bad.
Finally, after a long-haul Asia will finally can get a hold with a real Android Phone, not saying its the best but at least
it's better than nothing right? Hopefully, Samsung will open their eyes to at least add more sauce to their Spica release.

I have had a I5700 with A2.1 since October 09 its so much faster and easier to use than the 1st gen iPhone it replaced. It is different to use than a more traditional phone if you have not used a smartphone with touchscreen before but well worth the few minutes it takes to get used to it

My answer= I agree samsung doesnt give a shit when it come to promotion their phone on commercial. But neither is customer as only a few bought behold 2 and only care mytouch3g and even cliq that wasnt promoted the right way only getting 13 days of commercial before cliq getting cut off! People still got the cliq as review where good and youtube help as well! Im with 1.5 cant wait moto to release android 2.1 lol
