The Samsug Galaxy Alpha (SM-G850) is now receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop in South Korea. Major carriers have given the green light to commence the update roll out to handsets in the region.

Android version 5.0.2 is bundled with the update, which will bring owners up-to-date with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S5, sporting similar UI and Material Design elements. The update should be hitting Galaxy Alphas in the region via OTA, and will also be available through Samsung Kies.

With said devices receiving Lollipop in South Korea, we don't expect it will be long for other markets to follow. Check out our in-depth Samsung Galaxy Alpha review if you haven't already done so.
