The Samsung Galaxy A8 gets officially announced in China

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A8 for China. The A8 is 5.9mm thick, and as previously reported, features a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, and comes in white, black, and gold. The A8 runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The Galaxy A8 has either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable with a microSD card. The phone also has 2GB of RAM, and a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. You'll find a 16MP rear camera, along with a 5MP front-facing camera. Samsung has also included a fingerprint sensor, which will let you unlock your screen, make payments, and more, all with a finger. With the 3050mAh battery, Samsung is claiming a standby time of 304 hours.

Currently, the Galaxy A8 is only being offered in China at the moment. No announcement has been made about other destinations for the device.
