Fitbit for Android

The folks at Fitbit over the weekend slipped an official Fitbit Android app into the Google Play Store. It doesn't take the place of the Fitbit tracker, but it does let you check your daily progress as well as set daily goals and record activities, all from your Android smartphone.

We've pulled back our Fitbit review to give this one a proper look, but for now we've got a slew of screenshots and download links after the break.

The fitbit review comes up as access denied...

Glad to see they finally have an app for it though, will be checking it out shortly.

I got the same error.

That line above where I say we pulled back the review to update it with the actual app? That's why. Previously it was a roundup of unofficial apps.

RoadRnr says:

Ahh, ok so when you say "pulled back", you mean essentially removed it. I thought it meant you pulled it back from the past/archive. Sorry.

Problem is, when you pulled the old review it reappeared in the RSS feed ... so folks will read the summary there, then get "access denied" when they click the "read more" link.

No worries.

This is great news.

I just got mine 2 weeks ago, after reading about it here. Very happy with my purchase, especially with the sleep tracking.

With the addition of an Android app, even happier with my purchase!
