Facebook Home will see better performance and battery life with Qualcomm processors

Facebook has announced an official partnership with chip maker Qualcomm, the result of which will optimize Facebook Home apps on devices that come with Qualcomm processors. Facebook's first official phone, the HTC First, will come equipped with Qualcomm's new mid-range Snapdragon 400 chip (see the full details here).

Optimization will not be limited to just Facebook's phone or newer phones; Qualcomm says it is working with Facebook for optimization with all of Android's Snapdragon processors. Improvements are said to be seen in system-level performance, power usage, and data efficiency.

Aha... Here comes the bait.

Still staying away.

I'm so tired of hearing about Facebook. Maybe it's just because I don't use it.

VAVA Mk2 says:

I am tired of hearing about it too. You would think they brought a revolutionary product to market today with this hype when in reality they held a press conference for a custom launcher. I totally think the guys behind Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher should do this for their next major update the release to Google Play just to troll the Zuckerberg.

This gun be gud

VAVA Mk2 says:

This is pure marketing bullshit. A custom launcher is a customer launcher. It will run just as well on an Nvidia Tegra 4 as it will on an Exynos Octa or a Snapdragon 400, 600, or 800.
