Android 3.0 Honeycomb screen shots

I love the design of Honeycomb. The UI was way sleeker than iOS on my iPad. I'm really hoping Android tablets are as awesome as I want them to be. I'd like to get an Android tablet over an iPad 2, we'll see how they compare in the coming months.

I'm disappointed. I think WebOS, RIMs playbook and iPad look much better. This is definitely different, and maybe it will be perfectly functional, but there's no "Wow" factor for me and I doubt joe consumer is going to be impressed. I really hope this is an early preview and not the final!!

Are you kidding me?! This has way more "wow" factor than the iPad. The new layout, the awesome way of customizing the home screens, the desktop-like browsing. Android has advanced far with this update.

iOS may have had it's "wow" factor when it came out in 2007. But since then, it's lost much of that against the likes of Android and webOS.

I wonder when honeycomb is released on tablets, like a htc scribe, if it'll be skinned or not. It just seems like there are so many feautures and it would something strange if its skinned, because it doesn't look like it should be.

No, idea if this would be useful. I think it would be cool, to see a number one wishes to dial, then poof tablet shoots the info to your phone and bam, a phone call is made. I would look up my old English teacher to let her know I need to retake that course from 20 years ago. All tabs should have ir, where is it going to be used most: bedroom, bathroom and while watching porn while watching Conan. I want to have the ability to change the channel with my tab. FYI I've had an ambien and a couple of drinks. Cheers...

Edit: I may have eaten a whole chicken... uho not sure where my cat is!
Good thing I won't remember this in the morning. I really liked that cat

i just want to see two things:
1. no skin or custom UI... just vanilla honeycomb
2. a wifi only version

I'll be a happy camper if they can pull those off.

The digital clock is ulgy, I would have liked to see it a little ''softer'' - rounded edges maybe?
I can live with the UI though.

Just wondering - Since this is the tablet version of the OS in the settings menu screenshot it still says 'About Phone' Wonder if they will change it to 'About Device' something like that

With the amount of time and effort that must've been put into Honeycomb, it would just be a slap to the face for manufacturers to put their awful skins on top of it. Keep it vanilla Android/Honeycomb, please!

If you ask me, it is all so dark and dreary, though. I guess black on dark grey on black on dark blue is the "in" thing right now. :)
