You wanted more Android History Project? You got it. And it's even bigger and better this time around.

Our first Android History Project podcast (you can listen to it here) was such a hit, we decided to do another. And instead of listening to us gab for an hour we wrangled three top Android developers and have the honor of hearing their history of Android.

Huge thanks to Koushik Dutta (Vysor, ClockworkMod), Chris Lacy (Action Launcher) and Joe Braidwood (SwiftKey) for taking a few minutes out of their day to chat with us.

And be sure to check out our entire Android History Project at

Thanks to this week's sponsors!

  • Braintree: A single, simple payments integration for developers.
  • Canary: A complete home security system in a single device. Use promo code android.

Want to be on the podcast?

Sure, you can just listen to the AndroidCentral Podcast. (And you should.) But it's much more fun to be a part of it. And there are several ways you can do so.

  • Live Q&A: Look for the link each week to join the live Q&A.
  • E-mail us: Have a question and want us to answer it on-air? E-mail us here.
  • Leave a voicemail: Record your question with your phone or computer, and e-mail it to us. (Be sure to leave your name and where you're from!)

Really disappointed in the Koush with the iPhone oh well.. He's done more for Android than most..

Koush likes the iPhone. It's a great device.
But neither of these facts invalidate our love for our Android phones. It's a big world.

Phil, is this the same podcast that was recorded on Wednesday evening or should we expect another?

Right on, thanks. I don't like to jump in half way through, so I was waiting for the podcast version.
