Gingerbread announcement Monday at Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco?

Let's just throw this one out there and see if it sticks to the wall tomorrow: Reader Steve (hi, Steve!) Points out that Google CEO Eric Schmidt opens up the Web 2.0 Summit on Monday in San Francisco, speaking alongside Tim O'Reilly of O'Reilly Media Inc. and John Battelle of Federated Media Publishing.

It's labeled as "A Conversation with Eric Schmidt," and no topics are specifically mentioned. Nikesh Arora, Google's president of Global Sales Operations and Business Development, speaks later in the day, So maybe we'll get Gingerbread, and maybe we won't. But there are worse venues at which to make such an announcement, eh?
