AT&T's no-contract subsidiary Cricket Wireless has started a new promotion that cuts the prices on several of its Android smartphones from now until July 9. One of the phones on sale is the ZTE Prelude II, which is priced at $49.99. However, if a customer brings their old phone number to Cricket Wireless, and buys the ZTE Prelude II, they will get it for 99 cents. The deal is only available in Cricket's retail stores and requires the activation of a smartphone plan, along with the first month's service charge up front.
