For as little as $27 a month you can get 10GB of data, unlimited talk and text from Mint Mobile

The days of paying hundreds of dollars on phone bills are safely in the past for many of us, and for those still looking to ditch their expensive plans, we have quite the deal for you. Mint Mobile, a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that operates off of the T-Mobile network, is offering up some pretty crazy prices, and right now you can save even more with an exclusive coupon code. You can save an additional 20% on the already-low plans at Mint Mobile with coupon code ACMINTSIM20. You'll need to sign up for the 6 or 12-month plan (opens in new tab), which means you pay upfront for the service, but at these prices, it is well worth it.

As previously mentioned, Mint Mobile uses T-Mobile's nationwide 4G LTE network, so you should get the same coverage and speeds that the carrier has been expanding over the past few years, but at a fraction of the price. Mint Mobile offers a few phones on its website, but the great part about it is that you can bring your own (GSM-compatible) phone and just pop the SIM card in (opens in new tab) and go.

Need a new phone to use with your new service. Odds are you don't want to pay full price for a phone either, right? Well, right now you can pick up one of Amazon's ad-powered Prime exclusive phones (opens in new tab) for as little as $49.99, or if you want something with better specs and a fantastic camera, you could always grab the Huawei Mate 9 (opens in new tab) for just $499.99 at Amazon. If you're looking to pick up an iPhone, you can grab a refurbished iPhone 5s for just $139.95 (opens in new tab) or jump to the iPhone SE for $399 (opens in new tab) brand new.

This offer is only good through July 25, so you don't have long to take advantage of the extra savings.

Jared started off writing about mobile phones back when BlackBerry ruled the market, and Windows Mobile was kinda cool. Now, with a family, mortgage and other responsibilities he has no choice but to look for the best deals, and he's here to share them with you.
  • Another post about Mint SIM...
  • They gotta keep the lights on
  • I would love to use Mint but their coverage in an area that i frequently travel seems spotty at best. The savings over my current MNVO (Cricket Wireless) would be huge to the tune of 241.00 which is outstanding. Maybe I will bite the bullet and try it out for a bit.
  • Wow! This isn't the usual disguised NVMO article for a Mint ad. This *IS* a Mint ad! Way to go!
  • Lmao. Mobile Nations is a joke.
  • Fancy paying for all the normal content? Yeah thought not.
  • How much of a kickback commission is Mint giving Android Central for every time they write a article about Mint?
  • Can you hotspot with Mint? Or tether?
  • Does mint prioritize it's service speed behind postpaid T mobile?
  • Mint is the pimp!!! Mobile nations is the prostitute! Any questions???
  • I've been on Mint for about 5 months now and I signed up for the $60/3 months 10GB/month plan thinking that it would be $60 every 3 months. Wrong! It jumped to $122.16 which is still less than what I was paying before but I only signed up because I was thinking it would be $60.
  • LaMarcus I've heard similar stories about bait and switch with mint!! But their prostitute mobile nation's just keeps on keeping on wearing that mint mini skirt!!!
  • Besides things not being available to me because of my location, there is things like these that please me (promo for data services).
Here (România) we get over 10GB of 4G data for about half of this. And when you reach the monthly quota, you get throttled down to 128kbps, so you don't completely lose connection (although there isn't much you can do today with such low bandwidth).
OH, and for the same amount we get 100mbit connection at home (remember someone ranting about Romania getting better internet than us on Twitter...)
