The Moto G 2015 is now official — and available — and here is where you can buy one. Motorola's latest budget phone packs quite a mean punch for an affordable price, and is likely to be something that will interest many. Featuring a 5-inch 1280x720 display, the phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, with 1GB or 2GB of RAM depending on which model you purchase. Motorola is offering the phone with either 8GB of internal storage, or 16GB, both of which can be expanded by up to 32GB via microSD.
On the rear of the phone Motorola has included a 13 MP camera that can shoot 1080P video at 30fps, along with a 5MP camera on the front. Powered by a 2470mAh battery, the Moto G 2015 should get an mix of 24 hours usage. The budget smartphone also is IPX7 water resistant, so you can take it in the rain, or in shallow water, without any worries of ruining it.
Heard enough, and now you want to know where to buy one? Well, the 8GB model with 1GB of RAM is priced at $179, while the 16GB version with 2GB of RAM comes in $40 higher at $219. Motorola is offering some great customization options through its Moto Maker, but you can also purchase the phone from both Best Buy and Amazon if you are looking for a more basic color combination.
Through Motorola directly, you can customize the Moto G 2015 to your heart's content. You can pick from white and black on the front, a variety of colors on the back like red, blue, white, yellow, and others. In addition, the accents on the phone can be customized to pink, purple, white, orange, and a few more. The customization does take a little longer to complete, so shipping timelines may be a little bit longer from Motorola than they would from say, Amazon, though Motorola is including free shipping.
If you are looking to get your hands on the new Moto G 2015 as soon as possible, Amazon is likely your best option. While only currently offering the 8GB model, Amazon does give you the option of picking up a white or black version of the phone. With its one-day shipping option, you can have the device the following day, as long as you order it in time.
Best Buy is currently only showing availability for the 8GB model of the Moto G 2015 in black. While you won't be able to customize the device from Best Buy, you may have reward points, or some other loyalty that has you wanting to order from the company. Unfortunately, the phone won't arrive in stores until August 2, so you will need to order it online, though Best Buy is also offering free shipping on the new smartphone.
