Unveiled earlier this year, Dell's Venue 8 7000 Series tablet — specifically the Venue 8 7480 — has made its way to India for ₹34,999 ($549), with availability commencing from July.

The pricing is steep considering the device sells for $399 on Amazon. That said, there aren't many tablets offering the kind of hardware on tap with the Venue 8 7000, with the Galaxy Tab S series and the Nexus 9 the only other tablets boasting a QHD display. With a thickness of just 6.1mm, the tablet also has the distinction of being one of the thinnest available in the market. Specs of the Venue 8 7000 include:

  • 8.4-inch QHD (2560 x 1600) OLED display
  • 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 CPU
  • 2GB RAM, 16/32GB internal storage, microSD card slot up to 512GB (there's an SD card for that)
  • Dual 8MP cameras at the back with Intel RealSense technology (depth sensor, image refocus, distance measurements)
  • 2MP front camera
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Intel 7260 modem), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS, Miracast
  • 5,900mAh battery
  • Android 5.0 Lollipop
  • Dimensions: 215.9 x 124.2 x 6.1 mm
  • Weight: 305g

Sales of the tablet will commence in July. If you're interested in what the Venue 8 7000 has to offer, be sure to check out our review:
