Dell Looking Glass Android tablet -- with Tegra 2 love!

Today will be remembered as the day of the Dell in Android history.  If the Windows Phone 7 series Lightning, and the Android Thunder, Flash and Smoke weren't enough, Dell rolls out the heavy artillery with the Looking Glass -- an Android tablet that's clearly the big brother to the Streak 5.

Specs you ask?  Well, according to Engadget: Android 2.1, optional TV tuner module with ATSC or DVB-T modes, 800x480 display, 4 GB ROM, 4GB RAM, 32 GB SDHC slot, 1.3 megapixel camera, and the Tegra 2 processor.  Suh-weeet!

Of course no word on carrier, but the renders show the AT&T U-verse browser, so it looks like this will hit the U.S. for sure in some flavor.  Welcome to the party, Dell. [Engadget ]

  • This is the tablet I want!!! On Engadget the specs for this said 3g OPTIONAL. So sense 3G is optional, I can buy a WiFi only version off the Dell website. I can't wait for November!!!
  • I said LONG, long ago that Dell was going to be the sleeper among all SmartPhone and Tablets in the coming months. Unfortunately they'll lose buyers simply because of AT&T! AT&T SUX! The the only downside for any of Dell's lineup is of course the Aero. Otherwise, everyone of these phones in Dell's lineup render an 4th generation iPhone, or ANY iPhone, obsolete even BEFORE they're released. Look at all these amazing designs from Dell and HTC, it got to make you wonder who would actually want an iPhone other than Apple FanBoi's? STUPID!
  • We've yet to see HP's version of the same things. Maybe they want to catch the marketing buzz train closer to Christmas. Hopefully we'll start seeing their product line (if they even have one) in September.
  • How big is this tablet?
