T-mobile KitKat HTC One

565MB of KitKat sweetness is ready for your HTC One

Ealier we told you that the KitKat and Sense 5.5 update for T-mobile's HTC One would be pusing out soon. Soon is now (tip of the hat to Morrisey) and the update is live and pushing out.

Grab your HTC One — you did charge it up, right? — open the settings, and get to checking. I'm playing with the wife's, who just got her update, to see what I can see, but per T-Mobile, here's your changes:

  • Android 4.4.2 update
  • Security enhancements
  • Cloud Print service
  • New Bluetooth profiles

Sound off in the comments and let us know how it's running for you.

Thanks, Nick!

Ghost to be able to turn if blink feed. I only wish the Bluetooth call buffoon on my hands free would default to Google Now instead of only letting me make phone calls. It would make hands free a hundred times more useful. It would be much better to include this option natively instead of having to use an app like Bluetooth Launch.

Quite happy so far. Mostly I am impressed that this update provided the security updates necessary to allow Google wallet tap to pay using the nfc chip.

Google Wallet will now be given to the masses at a rate unparalleled by Isis.
All hail our Google Overlords that have bypassed those shady carriers.

You know how I know I am getting old...I dont care about updates anymore. Just make my p.o.s. last longer than 7 hours.........please! Oh and all that other cool shit phones do. Updates are so last season.

Scamsung buddy! You could thank them later for it...
All jokes aside at least you know your phone is getting the update...just don't know when exactly...

Sent from inside a cave. Yes, T-Mobile covers caves. N5

The phone does feel faster. But I'm disappointed the Android 4.4 updated Email client didn't install. I don't load the apk from other versions because it doesn't connect to Active Sync. So I'm disappointed. Going to try to install the Google Play Edition ROM on this guy now.

Anyone know when the note 3 is getting it I haven't seen any news but HTC seems to be right on top of those updates HTC one users must be happy now Samsung needs to catch up. Love my phone but come on with the update.

Just updated to 4.4 with no problems.
Am I missing it, where are the lock screen controls? I want the ability to turn it off sometimes, like on the 4.3 version.

Yeah they fucked us over on this. I'm not happy that I can't get rid of that ugly sense lock screen. If you choose None in the security settings for lock screen you still have to look at that abomination. None should actually mean NONE!

I thought I was the only one... Is there now no way to have two separate wallpapers? One on the lock screen one on the home screen? As far as I can see, you can only change the home screen and it just becomes the lock screen one also.

Dammit I knew I should've have charged my HTC One last night. I'm on my n5 right now but I want to see thus update

Sweet, just updated my daughter's One here in Glendale, AZ. Now need LG G2 updates for Tmobile and VZW. And Note 3 on VZW too.

I just spoke to T-Mo tech support about the Wi-Fi calling dropping. They're saying the update was not supposed to be released yet. Seriously?

I'm not having a problem with WiFi calling. So far, everything is running smoothly.

Very odd. T-Mobile HTC One here. I go to Settings, Software Update and it tells me that there is no update available. Also, I called T-Mobile to ask what's up. They show that Android 4.3 is the latest update available for the phone. Is anyone else having difficulty finding the update? Thanks!

Well I had downloaded the newest update but it wouldn't install now when I try downloading it it tells me that my phone is up to date with 4.3

Well I got my update notification about to days ago I downloaded kit Kat 4.4.2 but when I try installing it wouldn't itstall now my phone says it doesn't have a new software update.has this happened to anyone else?
