Note 3

Pre-orders will receive £100 off on a Samsung Galaxy Gear, a free Note 3 flip case and a free wireless speaker worth £120

British retailer Phones4U has dropped us a line to let us know that not only will they be carrying the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but that pre-orders start now and include a nice bundle of goodies.

Folks who pre-order will receive a free Samsung Galaxy Note 3 flip cover (worth £39.99), a free wireless Bluetooth speaker (normally £120) and £100 off the new Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch's £299 price tag.

This is a very nice deal for folks interested in both the Note 3 and the Gear, which we imagine is a pretty big number. The Note 3 will be available for upgrades and new contracts from free (on £47 a month contract), and will be available starting Wednesday, September 25.

Any body else a bit fed up with this whole 'pre order' thing?

What part about preorders bother you?

Wow. Not a bad deal at all. I would like a deal like that here in Canada. We would never see something like that. Our carries have us by the nuts!

Yeah... not a chance to see that here...

It's actually a terrible deal for the UK, the price per month is quite high.

Any idea what the off contract pricing is? I've heard some rumors of outrageously high numbers. That will determine whether or not this will be my next.

I admit I am not a fan of Samsung's designs. That fake stitching is just hideous.

Yeah, it does look silly.

I am not big on pre-orders but if Sprint throws out a deal like this I will

Yeah the ridiculously high prices for new phones on pre-order really sours your enthusiasm after a big product launch. So far crazy prices for the Note 3 and Xperia Z1. Will I have to wait 3 months for retailers to get real?

askewr says:

Now why can't US carrier's have this kind of initiative for new phones. SMH

Wow, knocking 100 GBP off the price of the Galaxy Gear makes it about the price it should be comparable to other market's pricing. Thank goodness it only works with Samsung phones, otherwise I might have almost found it tempting. /s

Ordered the bundle from Phones4u. Looking forward to receiving the Note 3 and Galaxy gear. Need to point out that you do not get a choice of watch color if you pre-order from Phones4u. Black is the only color available. They don't tell you this at point of sale....
