In Short

Mobile World Congress is an annual technology conference focusing on all things mobile, telecom, and regulatory. It takes place in Barcelona, Spain, typically in the last week of February, but this year's show broaches March by a couple of days: February 27 to March 2. Though the show focuses on European products, it has worldwide appeal, with big names from across the tech space, including manufacturers, mobile carriers, and vendors.

In 2016, devices like the Galaxy S7, LG G5, Sony Xperia X, HTC 10, Xiaomi Mi 5 and Alcatel Idol 4 series were announced, which ended up being among the most important devices of the year across the board. While the 2017 edition won't have Samsung's biggest news — that's going to wait until April, according to rumors — you can expect some sort of announcement, be it tablet, wearable or smartphone, from nearly every major Android manufacturer.
