Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 receiving small OTA update

The Galaxy Note 10.1 has had some mixed press since its release. Today, the Note is back in the news, but in a good way. Users in our forums are reporting that their Galaxy Tab 10.1's are pulling down a small OTA update -- about 75MB in size -- that's bringing a few much needed bugfixes to the device. Although the update keeps the device on Ice Cream Sandwich, it looks to fix compatibility with 64GB SDcards, change some UI issues that keep menus from moving and fixes a bug that would show/hide the keyboard erratically.

Have a Galaxy Note 10.1 laying around? Head to the settings menu and check for an update, you may just be greeted with a 75MB download. If you receive the update, hit up the forums and let us know how it goes.

  • Awesome, thanks! Installing now...
  • That Keyboard popping up when returning to the main screen was really getting on my nerves. I sure hope this fixes it.
  • agreed.....
  • Never had the keyboard pop up on me. Got the update and it looks fine to me thought i didn't have issues to begin with. I just waiting for Jelly Bean!
  • I use my tablet daily has been working awesome for me both before and after the update....thanks for the heads up!
I was hoping it was Jellybean....LOL
  • This update fucked the S-Note :/, the scrollbar doesn't let me to write well while zoomed because my hand touch the scrollbar and the tablet think i am trying to scroll up or down... older version of S-Note was better...
  • Seems to have changed S-Note a bit. But I like that landscape zooms to the full width of the screen. Also like the scroll bar. No hiding of the interface though, but there is the setting to auto hide it. Also seems to improve S-Pen accuracy/smoothness.
  • where is the setting to auto hide it? I cannot see it!!!! thanks
  • The Note 10.1 was never in the news for a bad reason except for the tools that gave it stupid reviews. 99% of users that I know, absolutely love this thing. It was just the people reviewing it who have no interest in the S-Pen features that sucked it up and were morons in the review. This thing is freaking awesome!
  • I concur!
  • Amen to that! I was hesitant due to the mixed reviews, and but I am *loving* it so far. And it puts the iPad to shame on several fronts, which is a nice plus if you are surrounded by Apple-toting colleagues. :)
  • I'm with you LegalAmerican. In other news I don't appear to have an update waiting for me when I try to update... not sure what's going on there.
  • Don't see the update.
Maybe because I am in Canada?
  • I think so, I'm having the same problem - also in Canada.
