Google Calendar on the web gains support for reminders

Google is adding reminder support to the web Calendar, much like it did for its mobile apps. This allows you to easily create, view and complete your reminders without having to leave your calendar. The reminders show up like appointments so you can keep yourself organized and on top of things.

From Google's announement:

  • Reminders stick around - If a reminder isn't completed, it will appear at the top of your calendar until you mark it done.
  • Reminders work across Google - Reminders you create in Inbox, Keep, and the Google app will also show in Google Calendar.
  • Reminders sync with mobile - Reminders created in mobile show up on the web and vice versa. So you can stay on track from just about anywhere.

The feature is set to begin rolling out this week to everyone.

Jared started off writing about mobile phones back when BlackBerry ruled the market, and Windows Mobile was kinda cool. Now, with a family, mortgage and other responsibilities he has no choice but to look for the best deals, and he's here to share them with you.
  • IT DIDN'T HAVE THIS ALREADY? Posted from my Nexus 6/Nexus 7 2013/Surface Pro 3
  • So people actually have Reminders, Events, and Tasks?????? You people are crazy!
  • They used to have Alarms, Email, and Pop-ups as the reminder choices. They got rid of the Alarms a couple of months ago, and the pop-up only works on the computer version if you have the calendar open. I think they're going back to something that will work even if the calendar isn't open on the computer.
  • I still like tasks better. When I complete a reminder it still stays around and doesn't delete itself. With tasks I can use an outside program, set repeats and have the completed task disappear. To me it's much easier to organize. Posted via the Android Central App
  • The calendar on touchwiz, that's not Google calendar right? May be a dumb question but I use the full month widget and I really like it. And it syncs with google, so that's why I'm thrown off. Posted via the Android Central App
  • I want to make a note of this update on my calendar. How do I do that?
  • And yet Calendar on desktop is still not material design. What a shame. Same with Gmail. I really wish they would get material design.
  • Dicen que nosotros los caballeros no tenemos memoria pero afortunadamente existen estas aplicaciones :p
