Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear hitting all four major US carriers

Just in case you missed it in the flurry of Samsung and Sony news today, all four major US carriers have announced officially that they will be carrying Samsung's latest phone and wearable device. Unfortunately right at the moment none of the carriers are willing to reveal specific dates or pricing information, but information provided in Samsung's announcement of the device indicate that it is slated to start hitting carriers from September 25th.

The most interesting part about this announcement is that each carrier is indicating that it will carry not only the Galaxy Note 3 but also the Galaxy Gear, indicating that the Gear will make its way to carriers as more of a regular accessory.

T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint are all offering some sort of pre-registration page for the most eager potential customers among us, but you can bet we'll be letting you know more information about pricing and availability as it comes.

  • I've signed up, but what I'm really waiting for is the Sony Xperia Z.
  • Z1 on sprint!!!!
  • I clicked all over the Verizon launch page but I still don't have a pre-order, I also tried throwing money at my screen and yelling at my screen. Does anyone else have any ideas?
  • You will need to wrap your money around a rock, and throw it at your screen. Worked for me...
  • LOL
  • Your gonna need to wait a good 6 months for the Red Devil to even think about releasing it. Posted via Android Central App
  • you only think 6 months? I figure they need time to Can you hear me now guy Test it for 3 month touring the country then they need to toss it in forget me pile until the EVIL DEV's can load all the bloatware on it. then MAYBE just MAYBE they will allow a release to be leaked.
  • Question to all you VZW owners, why do you put up w them as a carrier when you're restricted to CDMA only hardware and get devices latet in the cycle compared to the GSM counterparts, plus the GSM versions of the phones usually get faster custom rom and software support much sooner from the XDA developers? Posted via Android Central App
  • The only reason I do is because of my grandfathered, truly unlimited data with no throttling. As soon as VZW takes that away, I am gone to a GSM carrier. That is the only reason I put up with CDMA.
  • Sorry, didnt get the last must of had no bars.... Posted via Android Central App
  • The Verizon link in the article takes you to a page that now says: "Pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with the Samsung Galaxy Gear on Friday, September 6th at 9AM EST.
  • All major US carriers getting the Note 3 but nobody getting the Z1?
  • The Z1 should be on Tmobile. Note 3 rules period. Posted from my Galaxy Note 2 via Android Central App.
  • The Z1 should be on Tmobile. Note 3 rules period. Posted from my Galaxy Note 2 via Android Central App.
  • And why would the gear be carrier specific?
  • +1!!! It's a BT 4.0LE device. It isn't a spectrum specific device! Posted via Android Central App
  • Jesus, the back of the Note 3 is hideous. I am interested in the Note 10.1, however. Posted via Android Central App
  • If you don't like it then don't buy it! Posted via Android Central App
  • Believe me, I won't. The Nexus 5 will be a better phone and run stock Android. And, better yet, it will be half the price and have a decent design. Samsung is sucking this year, in my opinion. I vastly prefer my HTC One to my Galaxy S4. Posted via Android Central App
  • "The Nexus 5 will be a better phone..." Looks like we've got a clairvoyant in our midst.
  • No, just a realist. Posted via Android Central App
  • Crap. I was going to ask you for some Powerball numbers.
  • The next nexus will be sweet but not better than the note 3 just different. Having owned international, og note and note 2, I am interested in the nexus. The s4 gave me my sweet spot in phones and bigger than 5 is nktbit for me anymore. Sent from my bada$$ GT-I9505G
  • We're phone twins! Posted via my GT-I9505G
  • The Nexus 5 won't have SD card or removable battery or work on my carrier, so no, it won't be a better phone.
  • I'm with you about the back of the Note 3. They even showed a video during the announcement of someone stitching leather. I thought it meant the back of the phone would ACTUALLY be leather. Instead they give us stamped plastic. I think it's hilarious but I'm still getting the phone.
  • Since I always put a tpu case on my phones, the back is a non issue(but it is fugly)
  • The Note 10.1 has the same style faux leather back, sorry to say Posted via Android Central App
  • Same material on the back of the tablet also.
  • The Galaxy Gear is going to be carried by carriers? WHY??????? It doesn't need to be sold by carriers dang it!!! They'll ruin it like they do everything else! Posted via Android Central App
  • Cause they need to figure out how to add bloatware to it and then make it suck more bandwidth
  • I don't think you have to worry about carriers ruining the Gear. It already ruined itself before anyone else could get the chance.
  • Anyone have a best guess on price of the Note 3?
  • 800ish, 299 contract Posted via Android Central App
  • Man I'm still happy with my note 2, but the specs on this really look sweet. Delema! WCM Posted via Android Central App
  • I'm looking at the note 2, and the note 3 doesn't make me want to wait for it. Wonder how many of the note 3 features will be put on note 2, like what they did with some features on the note 2 for the original note Posted via Android Central App
  • Anyone else pickup in the live feed that the note 3 will support any lte network so you can take it or use it anywhere. I know that carriers like verizon hold control over the drivers to control what is on their network but is this a step to change that? Posted via Android Central App
  • If they were to offer a bundle package for $500 on contract would any you do it?
  • Nope.
  • Had Samsung been just a month sooner with this thing, I would'a been all over it. But now that nexus 5 seems iminent I'm happy to wait a little longer. And my wallet will be pleased too. I'm content with my HTC one for the time being. Posted via Android Central App
  • Wow...the way Sprint keeps rolling out the LTE phones you would think they were going to rollout LTE...but you would be wrong....
  • This made me laugh.
But that's just your area. Most of eastern MA has 4g LTE
  • How is it possible for a company with so much money can be so damn oblivious to design? They pretty much dominate in everything including gimmicks and I love my note2 (in a very healthy way of coarse) but good god man now they're just going backwards. This looks like an s2.
  • Were you expecting it to be octagonal to go with the octa-core processor?
  • As a former Sprint customer for 10+ years the above comment legitimately made me laugh. Posted via Android Central App
  • C'mon VZW, don't let this be another long affair. I will not be truly irritated until my upgrade date of 10/17 comes and goes, with nothing to go on but speculation in the "Rumored Release Date" topic of the forum. I have no hope, and past releases on VZW are what I am gauging my hopes on. Any optimists out there?
  • Can't believe ac didn't post this. The vzw note 3 has no vzw logo on the home button like they did on note 2 Posted via Android Central App
  • +1 Woot!
  • Of course they won't mention that, people only post to complain about Big Red and not to praise them. Like any other forum. My wife's more than happy with her Note2 with Beans ROM and will probably upgrade if I upgrade her but she's good. Posted via Android Central App
  • Because the Note 3 on Verizon's site is just the generic press render. Notice it doesn't have a carrier logo on the bottom of the lock screen, nor anything in the status bar. I imagine we'll see it covered with ZOMG4GLTEGREATBALLSOFGODDAMNFIREVERIZON logos all over it when they officially show it off :P
  • Also don't expect a Sony phone in any carrier except T-Mobile. And T-Mobile Will release it six months after it was released over seas Posted via Android Central App
  • Also it looks like Fri well have the release date & price since that's when preorders start on vzw Posted via Android Central App
  • As soon as my sister years about the note 3 she's gonna want it Posted via Android Central App
  • Ummmm kay..... Posted via Android Central App
  • Meh. Nexus 5 for me. Been there, done that. Posted via Android Central App
  • Why would anybody buy this one they just announced LG. Posted via Android Central App
  • So is it an rgb stripe or pentile? Posted via Android Central App
  • For those looking for any cell phone at wholesale prices, I have what you want. My company is partnered with Verizon, Sprint, Tmobile, Cricket and a few others. If you are looking for an upgrade or a new line, don't pay retail. Send me an email and I will email you the site.
