Nexus 5

UK retailer Carphone Warehouse is once again selling the Nexus 5 SIM-free, and this time with a substantial discount. The 16GB Nexus 5 is now on sale for £249.95, around £50 off the Google Play Store price, in black, white and eye-melting 'bright red' color options.

It's not the first time Carphone has cut the price of Google's flagship phone — the device appeared for just £240 back in February — but even at £250 the Nexus 5 is exceptional value for money. For the equivalent cost of a mid-range Android phone you'll get a Snapdragon 800 processor, 1080p display, 2GB of RAM and the latest stock Android 4.4.3 KitKat.

I have a Nexus 4 which I am very happy with but have been eyeing the Nexus 5 for a while now. I am very tempted but I wish it was the 32Gb option.

Tempted - yes
Should I buy it - no
Will I buy it - depends if the offer holds until I/O and there's some good stuff announced there. Starting to wish I hadn't sold my N5 now!

Bought it the other day for the equivalence of £240 in Sweden. It must be selling well here cause it's been down to that since last week. #1 on PriceSpy Sweden and only #40 in the UK so there's hope for iSweden.

Almost bought a Nexus 7 this weekend 32 gig, but with IO closing in I think I'll wait, I want to see this HTC 8.9 inch screen, boom sound mega Nexus tablet. Lollipop lollipop oh lolli lolli lolli lollipop.... POP. BA DA DUM DUM.

Tempted but I would rather get the 32gb version but that one probably won't ever get it's price lowered.
