Barnes & Noble Nook

Barnes & Noble today announced that its Android-based Nook line of e-readers is "the company's biggest bestseller ever in its nearly 40-year history." That's, like, EVER. It also includes the new Nook Color, a full touchscreen device that also doubles as a decent Android tablet when rooted.

We've got one, and we must say we're liking the hell out of it and thus far give it a big thumbs up. Check out the full glowing press release at the source link, and be sure to swing by our Nook and Nook Color forums. [BN]

First time ever! First post up! I love the Nook Color almost as much as my EVO!
Bought one for my mother and she hasn't set it down since Christmas. Battery is pretty impressive and it is 10x better than the Pandigital POS I had bought for her and returned it.

I have to admit that I'm a little envious of your mother's present. :) Maybe for my birthday ... :)

Does the nook have an accelerometer and Wifi? I mean, really? How is the Viewsonic Gtablet any better than this for $100+ more? Is the dual core porcessor worth the additional money? Seriously. I don't know the answers to these questions.
