If you've been following us here at AC over the past few weeks, you know we're big fans of what Google did with the Pixel 5. Even without the highest-end Snapdragon processor, the Pixel 5 manages to deliver a fantastic user experience that we still can't get enough of.
Here's the thing, though — not everyone is a fan of the Pixel 5. Whether it's too small, doesn't have enough horsepower, or has too few cameras, there are plenty of reasons why someone may not be interested in it.
So, if you're in the market for a high-quality Android phone that costs around $700, what's a person to do? One of our forum members recently asked for possible Pixel 5 alternatives, and this is how some of that conversation went.
Now, we want to hear from you — What's the best alternative to the Google Pixel 5?

My fiancee just got a S20FE and it is quite a capable phone for the price. She does miss the S-Pen from her Note 9, but overall a pleasant upgrade.
S20 FE is a better device in all ways. My A71 5G is comparable in just about every way but with better battery life and larger, better screen. My A71 5G cost me $42 dollars in tax to upgrade from my S9 on T-Mobile. Couldn't turn down the offer and did so on 3 S9's in our household. I think the 4a series and Pixel 5 have a very tough road with the Samsung carrier and consumer relationship along with excellent 5G mid range devices (A51, A71) and now 4 OS variants and 4 plus years of security patches.
I have a pixel 5 after changing from my burned out galaxy S7. The only other phone I was interested in was the Xperia 5 ii. I don't really want a bigger phone, the most powerful cpu/gpu would be nice, but that will be for my next phone!
Best alternative? Any phone.
