The August 2021 Samsung Unpacked event just concluded, and we were treated to a smorgasbord of new Samsung devices. These devices included updates to some of Samsung's most aspirational products, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, as well as new Galaxy Buds 2 and the Galaxy Watch 4 and 4 Classic.

The premier products were not the only new toys announced, as Samsung also unveiled some exciting new cases for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

In addition to innovations such as tougher screens, waterproofing, and S Pen support, the new foldable phones are also cheaper than previous generations, which should help in encouraging more widespread adoption of the devices. The Galaxy Buds 2 look to be some of the most compelling mid-range ANC true wireless earbuds, and the Galaxy Watch 4 versions promise to give wearables by Apple, Fitbit, and Garmin a run for their money.

Pre-orders for all of these devices are now live on Samsung's website, and the company is offering some fantastic trade-in deals too. Are you going to get any of these new goodies? If so, which ones?

  • I care about the watch because it is finally hope for some real advancement on that platform.
Something that hopefully has the potential to compete with the Apple watch. As for the folds, hugely disappointing.
The videos I've seen on this site of the Fold 3 make its crease in the middle look like doo-doo.
The prices on both are still double (or more) to be considered "mainstream" which Samsung stated they want for this generation.
  • No S21 FE?
  • Such a big let down once again. No ESIM support in the USA once again, Biggest android phone brand in the USA and they are beholden to carriers. I’m for competition but I hope these flop as well.
  • From the lack of comments on the slew of articles it appears most are not too excited for expensive all touch devices that do the same thing a good 200-300 dollar all touch device does. If it were not for trade ins and BOGO carrier deals (and the 5G BS now limiting even 4G LTE devices) none of the newer grossly overpriced handhelds would sell in volume in the US. If Samsung and Apple were to remove their "trade in" or carrier deals their expensive flagship devices would fail to sale @ retail. I wonder if the Samsung S22 be @ the 500 dollar range without deals in January since non-foldable all touch tech has maxed out? What will the new S21 FE be priced at? (Is it a bad time to release a "premium" (ahem too expensive) non-folding Pixel?? 🤔 Good luck Google.. 😁
  • I disagree about the trade-ins. I got $150 for mine, it was almost more of a slap on the face than a deciding factor for me.
  • The S21's bombed which doesn't surprise me considering the prices, and all the features they removed. So now they showcase more items that cost EVEN MORE and still lack the features people demand. WOW I bet they sell dozens...maybe even hundreds! It's interesting to watch a company as large as this self destruct. LOL
  • I want I want I want...but I don't want to pay for it. LOL
  • I ordered the Z Fold 3 and watch 4. I've been waiting for the ZF3 for a minute but the watch was an impulse buy due to the $200 credit. I only paid $58 for the watch.
