How do you use AT&T's NumberSync?

Do you ever wish that you could make phone calls right from your wrist? How about being able to answer an incoming call with the tablet that in your hand instead of running to your phone in the other room? With AT&T's NumberSync those dreams can come true.

What is NumberSync

NumberSync is a service offered by AT&T that allows you to make voice or video calls on devices such as tablets and smartwatches with the same number as your phone. Meaning you're grandmother won't think you're a telemarketer every time you call her from your tablet to ask for some money.

What do you need to use NumberSync

There are a few things you need in order to sign up for the service.

  • AT&T smartphone with HD Voice service enabled (for voice-only service).
  • Video calling on a tablet requires an AT&T video call-capable phone.
  • Eligible devices that can be used with AT&T service.
  • Access to an Internet connection (Wi-Fi or AT&T mobile broadband for your devices.

What devices work with AT&T NumberSync?

Unfortunately the service does have very limited amount of devices that are compatible.

For tablets the only one that is compatible is the LG G Pad X 10.1. Which is exclusive to AT&T.

For smartwatches you have a couple more options. You can choose from three devices, the Samsung Gear S2 (with 3G or 4G compatibility), the Samsung Gear S2 Classic (with 3G or 4G compatibility), or the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE.
