Beat Saber and Borderlands 2 VR come with the new PlayStation VR bundle

Getting started with PlayStation VR has always been easy because the system comes with games. The original launch came with a compelling demo disc with options that took us back to the old days of trial software, but since then Sony has worked hard to offer bundles with full games onboard. We've seen some great collections as bundles so far, but this latest one might be the best yet.

Starting December 14th, when you get a PlayStation VR bundle, it's going to come with Beat Saber and Borderlands 2 VR.

This new bundle includes:

  • PlayStation VR headset
  • PlayStation Camera
  • PlayStation Move Controllers
  • Beat Saber digital code
  • Borderlands 2 VR digital Code
  • Demo Disc 2.0

Beat Saber is, to be blunt, a system seller on its own. This game is ridiculously fun to play, and has been tremendously successful on other VR platforms. Sony is right to want to use this as a way to lure in people who want to get started with PSVR, because it's going to get people excited and keep them excited.

Borderlands 2 VR is an wildly different kind of game, but comes with some serious name recognition. Every games knows what Borderlands is, and putting that frenetic shooter in VR is going to put a smile on a lot of faces. This game is just as big a deal for PlayStation VR, and including it in a bundle is a huge deal for people looking for that one good excuse to drop money.

This bundle will be available on December 14th at most retailers, for $350 US and $450 CA. We'll be sure to update this as soon as pre-orders for this bundle are available!
