You can now buy the dual-screen YotaPhone 2 smartphone in the US, thanks to the Indiegogo website.
As promised a few days ago, Yota Devices has started selling the dual-screen YotaPhone 2 in the US, via the Indiegogo crowdfunding website. The first 100 people who buy the phone can get it for just $500. After those are all sold, the price will be $525 for the first 48 hours of the campaign and then the YotaPhone 2 will be sold for $550 for the rest of the 61-day Indiegogo campaign. You can also purchase a wireless charger and power pack for the phone for an extra $50. Finally, there's the option of buying two YotaPhone 2 units for $1,050, which cuts $150 off the price. Shipments are expected to begin in August.
The phone has one 5-inch 1920x1080 display running on Android KitKat, but last week an update to Lollipop was teased. The other side of the device has a 4.7-inch ePaper screen with a resolution of 960x540. Inside there's a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with a clock speed of 2.2GHz, along with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear camera and a 2.1MP front-facing camera.
