Sony is releasing the Lollipop update for the Xperia Z2 and Z2 tablet in more countries starting today, and beginning next week they will be pushing the update to other devices as well.

The past few weeks have been busy for Sony with various announcements about their Lollipop roll-out plans. Sony has confirmed that the update for the Xperia Z2, which was previously only in the Nordics, will be spreading to devices in other countries as well. The update will be releasing in phases, with no specific details about where or when it will be hitting devices. Sony advises users to check locally, and watch your device for the update notification.

Sony has also announced that starting next week they will begin pushing out Lollipop for even more devices. Next up on the list are the Xperia Z3 Dual, Z1, Z1 Compact and the Z Ultra. Timing for the rest of the Z series is not yet announced, but they did say more information will be coming soon.
