Plus, SteadyShot™ image stabilization technology helps keep footage smooth even when walking.

The new Movie Creator allows you to trim and crop your videos so that you can easily pick out what you want to share. You can even insert dramatic slowdown effects at one or more places on the timeline of the video, then preview the results before you save and share your video.

The growing ecosystem of Xperia camera apps

Enhance the mobile experience with a growing range of innovative pre-loaded Xperia camera apps.

Sony Xperia Z2 to be a Bell exclusive in Canada, launching in May

I'd buy this. To bad the idiots picked Bell exclusivity and it's not on sprint. Sorry are missing out on so many sales.

Posted via the porcelain throne.

From the press release "We are delighted to work with Bell as the exclusive provider of Xperia Z2 in Canada"...not sure this would impact Sprint (or other carriers) in the US

Yea honestly eh, SUTPID move by Sony, I dunno what those cracker heads are thinking. Bad marketing, the fact that Sony now says they want to make a new flagship every 6 months is a really stupid move in itself.

They barely released Z2 and now they want to already release a new one by the end of the year.

Im on Rogers, and Rogers has the Z1, how friggen retarded that they make this a Bell exclusive.

yay that's means T-Mobile will get exclusivity here.... Galaxy S5 here I come

Sony Canada is supposedly selling the unlocked International version of the Z2. Wonder if Sony USA will follow.

why focus on canada and england, and not the US?
Talk about priorities in the completely the wrong order.

I want this Sony phone, on AT&T or T-Mobile, in the USA.

I'll take this over the S5 and the M8.

I live 2 hours and 45 mins away!! Probably like 3 hours since I'm crossing the boarder. I want the Z2 on T-Mobile!!

Weekend road trip then? Sony Canada sold the International Z Ultra which works with T-Mobile USA. I'm assuming they'll do the same for the Z2.

3 hours from Richmond, BC. If this phone will work on T-Mobile I'll sell my G2 and drive up to Canada once this phone is available.

As I mentioned in another post - weekend road trip to Canada. Otherwise check if Expansys USA or Negri Electronics will carry the T-Mobile compatible version. I'm on WIND in Toronto so I need a pentaband AWS compatible version as well although T-Mobile is re-farming its 1700Mhz spectrum to 1900Mhz I believe.

This is promising news for us in the states here. Just means Sony is that much closer to bringing it to us. Whether it be exclusive on a carrier is beyond me, but if they are releasing it in Canada then America is just that much closer to an announcement. At least I hope lol.

this is why sony is in the situation they are in have they not learned that you need to release on all carriers day 1 to compete whats wrong with them their marketing and strategy for mobile should be fired period this model has not worked in the past for them.

Sony simply cannot afford to do this. They need the carrier contracts to secure financing to manufacture the handsets. Sony's hardware business has taken a serious beating in recent years due to many bad decisions, and ridiculous capability limitations imposed to the hardware group by the all-powerful "content" side of the business. (Useless USB ports on TVs, while competitors' allow file playback, sub-par receivers, disappearing from the portable audio market they used to thoroughly own by becoming complacent... Etc..)

When will Sony learn? This exclusively crap doesn't work. Simple as that. You can't gain ground on your competitors by going exclusive on select carriers.

Exclusivity is terrible but if Verizon gets this device I'll be happy for the next year at least

Sony sucks. Exclusivity is horrible, but if it's exclusive to my network, it would be awesome..!!! Screw you suckers/other carriers!!!

Bell exclusive in Canada...what's that tell you about what availability to expect in the US?

Sony: you want better sales figures? Open the floodgates in the US, please!!

Sony Canada isn't even selling Z1 unlocked... Their "buy now" links to Telus ... Rodgers.. And Bell websites. Now with the exclusive rights given to Bell we won't see a unlocked Z2 offering. Now if we could get Sony to offer the compact unlocked for North America I would be happy!

Posted via Android Central App Buy it there. Or eBay.

My Z2 just arrived in the mail today. I bought it on eBay. I live in Minnesota. Can't wait to pick it up from DHL tonight!!!

Exclusivity agreements should be illegal. I honestly can't believe that these are allowed. It is probably the most anti-consumer practice in industry right now.
