In honor of Sonic The Hedgehog's birthday the nice people at Sega are applying some hefty discounts to the Sonic games available in the Google Play store.

  • Sonic CD is down from $4.99 to $2.99 (£2.99 - £1.99)
  • Sonic The Hedgehog: Episode 1 is down from $3.99 to $0.99 (£2.49 - £0.69)
  • Sonic The Hedgehog episode 2 is down from $6.99 to $4.99 (£4.99 - £2.99)

BARGAINS!

The offer finishes on June 22, so go grab them soon. I'm not seeing the discounts here in the UK on the web so excuse the lack of links you can click. Just head on over to the Google Play store on your phone and take advantage of Sonic's birthday bash.

Which one is the best? I really don't need all three to compliment the 100 games I currently mostly ignore.. ;)

I know what you mean. I have so many unplayed games to transfer over to my upcoming GSIII as it is. ...But compelled to get Sonic on sale...

Sonic CD is the best by FAR!

It's a classic, but the Episode 4s were really disappointing...

Don't get any they all have horrible ratings.

GripnRip says:

I've read reviews that the port of Sonic CD is very good. And Sonic CD is considered by most to be the best sonic game ever released. I'm downloading the extra content now. I will note the download is taking forever!

Unibrow says:

Strange, the sonic 4 episode 2 is coming up as not compatible with the Prime.

Treknologist says:

I'm having the same issue. The "light" version doesn't have compatibility issues with the Prime but the premium version does. That doesn't make sense. Isn't it a Tegra optimized game?!

Unibrow says:

it's likely a mistake, the game has been compatible in the past and you can see proof of such in the reviews. I emailed them along with a screenshot so hopefully it will get resolved.

Treknologist says:

I got a reply back from them telling me to hard reset the device to get the game to play. Clearly, the technician didn't even understand what the issue is. I sent them another email back explaining again what the issue is.

I'm having the same issue with my Transformer Pad TF300. Been trying to buy and download the Tegra 3 version all week. It was available and working fine about a week ago, but I was on the fence about paying so much for a game. Know that it dropped in price this week, I've been trying to buy it.
I've sent e-mails to Sega and Google Play Store about the issue. I did that on Tuesday, still no reply
