Where's the Flashlight app on the HTC One M9?
If you've noticed something missing from the app drawer on the new HTC One M9 thus far, you're not alone. And it's one of those apps that you might well not see is missing until you absolutely need it. So where's the M9 flashlight?
Turns out there's nothing really sinister going on here. The HTC One M9 still has a flashlight app. But like other new Android 5.x Lollipop devices, it's been moved from the app drawer (where it still lives on the M8, even with Lollipop) into the quick settings that you pull down from the top of the screen. (Or you can add one of those newfangled custom on-screen buttons to get to them a little faster.) Missing, however, is any way to easily add a shortcut to the home screen. That really is no bueno.
And now's as good a time for this reminder as any: Pull down from the top of the phone with two fingers to skip the notifications pull-down and go straight to the quick settings.
