This discounted car mount attaches securely to your air vent and includes wireless charging

The Choetech car air vent wireless charger mount (opens in new tab) is down to $17.99 at Amazon when you clip the on-page coupon for $2 off and enter code EWFGHUN6 during checkout. The charger sells for $29 without the coupons, a price it has mostly remained at so far this year. Late last year it was selling for $33.

The car mount supports wireless charging for any Qi-enabled device. At a minimum, you'll get a 5W charge. The new iPhone models will get 7.5W fast charging, and Samsung phones like the Galaxy S9 will get 10W. When you drop your phone into the mount, the side brackets will automatically fit your phone and lock it securely in place. The brackets are limited to phones up to 3.4 inches across, including cases (which shouldn't be thicker than 5mm for the wireless charging to work). The wireless charging starts automatically, too, so the whole thing is super convenient for drivers. It installs without any extra tools right on your car's air vents, and it will be held there tightly thanks to an anti-slip L-shaped hook design. The mount comes with an 18-month warranty.

You will need a Quick Charge 3.0 car charger like this one from RavPower (opens in new tab) plugged into the mount to get the fastest possible wireless charge.

  • Is it just me, or has Android Central become less about Android and the devices it comes on and more about ads for discounted chargers/batteries/cases?
  • You're not alone in this thought process.
  • I hope they do some ads for better car chargers soon, I need one.. But vent clips suck; and so far, every off brand wireless charger I've tried can't charge through my case. Anker works fine though
  • The article says it's super convenient for dirvers, but how convenient is it for drivers? More specifically, drivers with vertical vents. The last vent mount I bought is horrible, the phone is just too heavy so it always re-angles itself downward after a few bumps. #Dirver #Covfefe
