OnePlus teases something 'powerfully beautiful' for October 29

OnePlus is set to announce something "#PowerfullyBeautiful" on October 29, and if the teaser images released by the company on social media are anything to go by we could well be closely approaching the unveil of the OnePlus X.

This forthcoming event follows the India-focused conference held earlier this week. An X shape was also teased by the CEO for said event, further solidifying the chance we'll see some mention of this unannounced smartphone on October 29.

A OnePlus handset did manage to make its way through the FCC, which revealed 5.5 x 2.2 x 0.27 inch measurements, maximum processor speed of1.9GHz, support for LTE bands 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and GSM frequency support at 850, 900, 1800, and 1900MHz.

We'll have to hold out until the end of the month when the company reveals all.

  • Hopefully I dont have a meeting during the hour it's gonna be publicly available for sale.
  • From the images floating around it actually looks pretty nice. Just let people actually, you know, buy the thing, and Oneplus could do well with this. Posted via the Android Central App
  • F*ck OnePlus and their pathetic invite system
  • Great, more stuff you can't buy. Posted via the Android Central App
  • I completely agree, but everyone hating on the invite system and waiting to be able to purchase OP has really made a name for themselves in a short amount of time. Posted via the Android Central App
  • It remains to be seen if that's a good thing. The oneplus one did quite well, and as a new company, people cut them a bit of slack... But whether people will put up with this stuff a second time around is a different thing entirely. Posted via the Android Central App
  • Unfortunately, the invite system never worked well for the second time. Despite 'promises', the launch for the OPT failed and customers already have had enough of the company.
  • "a name" for what?
because the perception is that they simply can't deliver.
and if you can't deliver when you're still trying to get my money you surely won't deliver (updates, support, etc. etc.) when you already got it. so no, thanks.
  • Buy it on Craigslist
  • Bleh, I'm pretty much tired of anything OnePlus now.
  • I feel the same way. Posted via the Android Central App
  • Yet I see several coments from you under every oneplus article? Posted via OnePlus 1
  • I may be tired of their shenanigans But that doesn't mean I have nothing to say Here lies the "2016 Flagship Killer". It got slayed by 2015 flagships like the LG G4 being used to post this.
  • "Beautifully powerful" Yeah, um. We all know how 'well' OnePlus markets their phones, so we're just gonna take this with a very fine grain of salt. Wait. There's an X. An X is typically used to mark something negative. I guess that means it's confirmed that we can't buy it normally like the OPT. (Yes, I know it's called the OnePlus X, hence the X)
  • Uh...actually it's "powerfully beautiful". Get it right man /s
  • Gah, I knew I should have taken my morning coffee before commenting.
  • HTC One X, Moto X, these seem to have done well with the X Posted via the Android Central App powered by Droid Turbo
  • I would care if I didn't have sprint and could actually use one of these devices Posted via the Android Central App
  • I'd care if the company isn't a total PoS.
  • OnePlus X? So after OnePlus Two we directly have OnePlus Ten... Seems legit Posted via the Android Central App
  • Nah, it's a OnePlus Eleven Because 1 + 10 = 11 Should've named it the 7-Eleven. :P
  • How about a powerfully beautiful way to
    purchase....
Maybe a make my x maker... oh wait that's been done already.... Posted via the Android Central App
  • HTC One ... One Plus One
Moto X ... One Plus X Is it really that hard to name a freaking phone? (Preemptive: For the D.Heads... I'm not saying they're copying. I'm drawing comparisons. )
  • Blackberry tried that. Now there's a phone named the Priv....
  • Maybe they will announce no more invites! Posted via the Android Central App

  • Guys do u all think that it'll be better than moto g3???
I bought moto g3 couple of months ago and I am thinking that if one plus X or mini is around 200 usd, I'll buy it..... So will it be a better choice? Posted via the Android Central App
  • Spec wise I'm sure it will be. In real actual use, I'm not sure it will be better than a Moto G. Posted via the Android Central App
  • If this is $250 or less it would be a pretty good phone unless there is no sd slot.... Probably won't be Posted via Android Central App on 1+1
  • I wish I cared. This company is all sizzle but no steak. Posted via the Android Central App
  • No word on how well the one hour open sales went? Posted via OnePlus 1
  • The following is all you need to know. 500 Internal Server Error Here lies the "2016 Flagship Killer". It got slayed by 2015 flagships like the LG G4 being used to post this.
  • I didn't expect anything else, but was still wondering how many minutes (seconds ?!) the page was up and if any customers were served or if they already came up with a lame excuse? Posted via OnePlus 1
  • With the new plant being opened in India, hopefully you guys in the western part of the world are able to buy their products without invites. Posted via the Android Central App
  • mmm...the one plus mini. if they had come out with this initially, i would probably be using this phone right now. more "normal" sized phones please! phablets are not ok for everyone!
  • Ah another phone you can't buy until you are invited.... No effing thanks. Posted via the Android Central App
  • This company is all talk. #bored Posted via the Android Central App
  • Could this be a sucessor to the god awful op2. I would like to think that maybe Oneplus has some real flagship killer power saved up for us, but I really doubt it. Just more Oneplus twaddle and bull. Who would want one of these anyhow, if it involves servicing an unpaid marketing job for Oneplus just to get an invite to purchase. Oh wait, of course they will look after their "existing valued customers" as a top priority.
If this competes with the OP2 I am even more pleased I didnt get a OP2, not that I would ever buy another device from this dodgy lot. The OPO is a great phone. Everything else stinks from Oneplus.
