After Europe and the U.S., the LG G4 is now receiving the Marshmallow update in Canada. Telus has commenced the rollout, with Rogers set to offer the update from February 3. No details as of now as to when Bell will start rolling out Android 6.0 to its LG G4.

Telus' security update schedule also mentions that the LG G3 is slated to receive the Marshmallow update by March 14. Rogers also states that its variant of the LG G3 will be updated to Marshmallow shortly, although a specific date was not mentioned.

If you're rocking the G4 on Telus, head into your device's settings to download the Marshmallow update.

  • Wow, I was just informed by TMobile that they're far from rolling it out. According to them LG hasn't even sent it to them for TMobile to begin their testing on it. So they sent it to Sprint, Telus, Rogers, USCellular long enough ago for them to test and THEN roll it out.. While TMobile doesnt even have it. Android Central please dig into this, as TMobile was one of the first to announce it would be updated. Take a look at @TMobileHelp's Tweet:

  • I am with Bell mobility. Last night i updated my g4 to marshmallow 6.0. The update was NOT pushed to my phone . i had to check through the lg software update option in the settings under general / about phone/ update center. The file is roughly 970 mb. It took me just over a hour to download and install. Successfully running marshmallow 6.0 on bell mobility canada!!

  • The marshmallow update is awful. I absolutely hate it. My battery life is the worst i have ever seen. I set my phone on the table with no windows open went and had a shower and lost 15% battery life in those 10 minutes. There has to be a way to get my old os back. Please help.
  • Maybe you should factory reset it and then use it. MY G4 is running smooth as butter and battery life is awesome i get about 4-5 hrs SOT time
