The BBC has updated its iPlayer app for Android, as well as the accompanying BBC Media Player app, with support for the new Android 5.0 Lollipop release. Updates for both apps are rolling out from today, just as we're expecting to see the OS become available for more devices.
The BBC Media Player changelog notes that Android 5.0 is now fully supported, while the iPlayer release notes reveal that bugs affecting downloaded content on Lollipop have been fixed. Other changes in iPlayer 4.4.1 include playback at the highest possible quality over Wifi, 3G or 4G, and redesigned show pages.
If you're an iPlayer user, be sure to grab the latest updates for an optimum experience on Lollipop.
