zombie gunship reality

Developer Limbic, creators of the hit mobile action game Zombie Gunship, have announced a partnership with Google that will see a new version of the game, Zombie Gunship Reality, released that will use the technology developed for the Project Tango smartphone and tablet.

Limbic said the new game, which once again will place the player inside an AC-130 aircraft and ask them to blow up zombies on the ground, will take advantage of Project Tango's sensors that can map out the environment surrounding the smartphone or tablet in 3D. The company stated:

We are using this technology in Zombie Gunship Reality to allow the player to shoot zombies using the device as a virtual controller that can be moved around the room and pointed in every direction. This creates a virtual window into the game world of Liberty Island, which has been infested by zombies.

Limbic plans to offer live demos of Zombie Gunship Reality during the 2014 Google I/O conference in San Francisco this week. There's no word on when the game will be released.

What do you think about this game based on the Project Tango devices and will it offer some new innovations for mobile gaming as a whole?

How in the hell is this Zombie anything? It's a drone/helicopter thing shooting at "people" on the ground. It could be Zombies, it could be people in some war, it could be packs of wild dogs if they used graphics that didn't look like people. Just capitalizing on the current zombie trend, huh?

Why so angry? Don't buy the game.
