HTC One Mini

With the HTC One M8 on store shelves, attention is turning to other devices in the "M8" family. Aside from the supposedly plastic M8 Ace, a smaller version, similar to last year's One Mini, has also been rumored. And today Twitter leaker @evleaks is suggesting it might come to market as the "HTC One Mini 2."

While the name might seem a little clumsy, it probably makes more sense than trying to shoehorn the "M8" monicker in there somewhere, especially as HTC's official branding has this in subscript. Although with nothing reliable doing the rounds in terms of specs or release dates for this new "Mini," we'll take this one with a pinch of salt until it's officially announced.

Let Me Be The First To Say,
It's nice to have a choice.. not everyone want the Big Boys.
Hopefully it does not loose too much of the Flagship's attributes.

Wow, that is grotesque looking. On a good note it looks like it may have the same amount of usable screen as the M8.

Agreed, I didn't like the white trim framing the front of last year's Mini and Max. Hopefully the One Mini 2 looks more like the M8.

I think that's inevitable unfortunately. My biggest grievance with these "mini" devices with lower specs, is the off-contract pricing that's higher than the competition.

Mini One2?

Bet this thing will still be too big and have downgraded specs because only mid-tier users want small phones...

That is a mouthful. Atleast it wasn't named the HTC One M8 Mini 2. Now try saying that out loud

I would be all over this phone if it had at a minimum the specs of the M7. Anything less, and you might as well just but the M7 itself.

I hope that it has similar specs to the original HTC One. If it were to have a 4.3" 720p display, that would be reasonable for some good specs

HTC one mini with downgrade spec work just as good and as smooth as the original one. It will run almost everything that you thrown in ur phone. And this is just dual core snapdragon, this year it would be quad core. This is htc not Samsung. I think mine one mini lag even lesser than the s4.
